Another story I did first for a writing exam. Of course, I added some chapters, they always asked you only 300-450 words! I don,t know how to call it yet so if you've got ideas...

He woke up. He was lying on the floor of a very dark room; he couldn't see anything. When he tried to stretch, he realized the room was too small for that. He was in some sort of closet. He slowly attempted to stand, but a strange dizziness got him. Helping by taking a hold on the walls, he finally got up, feeling on his neck the cord that would turn on the light. He pulled it, closing his eyes by this sudden aggression.

When the light stopped hurting his eyes, he took a good look at the room. He thought right, it was clearly a closet, although completely empty now. Except for pictures on a wall. Men mostly, and women also sometimes. On one, he recognized his face and, near his, the picture of his girlfriend.

Before he could investigate any further, the door opened. As he looked at the man standing, he started screaming. It wasn't a man; it was a demon! His face was red with a wry face. And he had horns as well. The demon's hands grabbed him with force and threw him out of the room yelling something in a strange language.

More demons appeared before his eyes, laughing at his expression. One after the other, they threw him in the hall to a bigger room. Panic took him when he looked at the walls: they were made with human bones! And the ceiling, and the floor as well. The thrones, however, seemed to be made of wood or maybe very dark stones. There was a body on the ground and it was precisely there the demons were dragging him. He fell hard on the floor next to the corpse.

He forced himself to look at the woman body not far. A cry of rage came out of his throat. It was his girlfriend! The demons murdered his girlfriend. He looked at the five monsters encircling him, all laughing.

The anger blurred his vision as he ran to one of them and attacked him, throwing him through the room, breaking his neck. The other demons, for the first time, began to hesitate. Behind a throne, he found a mace and grabbed it, rushing to another demon as two of them were running outside this temple of doom. He hit the demon as many times as he was able, hearing a squishy sound.

When he could no longer see the demon's face because of all his hit on him, he started to run through the halls to see the other three. That is when he noticed one of the demons was blowing fire. He ran the best he could to the door but a terrible pain on his flank made him fall on the ground. He vision blurred again before he lost consciousness…

"Will he be alright?"

Inspector Corbin was looking at the young man. During the night, the Police Center received a phone call from a neighbour who heard a fight and a gunshot. They found the poor boy on the grass in front of the house. When they entered the house, they found a guy trying to run away, still having his gun in hands. In the living room, a young girl was there. Her heart was barely breathing. There were also two guys, dead: one with his face completely unrecognizable because of the many hits with the baseball bat next to him and another one with the neck broken behind a couch. His partner was already interrogating the dealer about what happened to him and his accomplices.

They carried the young ones to the hospital. The doctor to whom Corbin asked the question nodded.

"Yes, he didn't lose too much blood. We manage to get the bullet out without any internal damage. He needs rest though before you talk to him. However, I doubt he could say anything, he was so doped up, he probably don't even remember anything."

Corbin nodded. The man, called Alexander Parsons, was before a junkie who had a debt to the dealers that kidnapped him and his girlfriend. They gave drug to both of them. As what he heard, Alexander was the one who killed the two dealers. But he knew that would only end up as self-defence attack or an unintentional homicide.

His phone rang and not even caring he was in a hospital, he took it and answered. The doctor didn't say anything, he knew the inspector since too long to even bother. After about fifteen minutes, Corbin put his phone in his pocket.

"The two other guys have been arrested." He said simply.

The doctor nodded again.

"Well it's good, you got all your bad guys now."

Corbin laughed slightly. Doctor Jamieson was always saying such thing when he was arresting the culprits. He looked beyond the glass window to the boy sleeping in the bed.

"And what about the girl?" He finally asked looking back at the doctor.

"We managed to clean her. She got too much drug at once, but she will survive."
